Scary and Sad

Ereck Plancher (pictured above), a University of Central Florida wide receiver, collapsed and died yesterday, one day before spring practice officially started. For all my friends who are athletes, especially the football players, please don't push yourself too hard.

Also, I just found out my childhood classmate Lyle Lancaster committed suicide over the weekend by hanging himself. I haven't cried about it and I'm not sure if I will but I just want everyone to know that I love them and when its my time to go, then it is. I hope his family finds peace. RIP.

On a slightly sad, kind of funny note, UF head coach Urban Meyer spoke about his relationship with USC running back transfer Emmanuel Moody (who looks like he could be my cousin, btw).

"I don't say hello to him," Meyer said. "I just walk by and say, 'Boy, I hope you're really good.' I don't know what else to say. ... I hope he's really, really, really good. I don't know if he is."

Um, what do you mean you don't know if he's good, Urban? I hope Urb has more tricks up his sleeve with his current roster because our recruiting wasn't all that hot this year and Lord knows we didn't have back up anything last year in any position. I put my faith in Meyer, though. He knows all us Gator lovers are "anxious" to see what happens this season and hopefully bring the championship back home to where it belongs it the Ville.

Lastly, so what if UF Basketball only made the NIT. Our baby Gators will be back and biting harder next year. Go Gators!

EPL Update

So for those of you who don't follow soccer/football, here are the latest league standings. Man U (whom my future husband, Cristiano Ronaldo) plays for is currently in the lead. It may look a little confusing but Arsenal has played 30 games and has acquired 67 points whereas Manchester United has a game to make up and which they will (hopefully) win!

Also, my future husband has scored 31 goals this season which is about 1 goal, I believe, shy of the current record for goals in a season. We have nine more games left in the season and I'm hoping he can score in every one and that we win the league championship.

"Drink, drink, wherever you may be,
We are the drunk and disorderly,
And we don't give a f*ck, and we don't give a sh*t,
We're coming home with the championship."

The Many Gainesville Adventures of...Baby Squirrels & Ravioli Bugg!

I think everyone knows by now that I love the Gators . [See proof to the right]. But I have taken on a very personal mission to convert as many non-football-committed people to become Gator lovers. My buddy, Christyn, is now even considering moving here for Grad school! The movement has begun!

Christyn [but I call her Ravioli Bugg because she doesn't know how to spell ravioli and she wears bug looking sunglasses].
This is my Jesus look. Do it daily!
Don't knock the Spanx hustle. I am not at my 125 mark yet so I have help to hold the extra fat.
Putting on my Spanx between the doors...what you know about that?

Ouch!

Arsenal striker Eduardo got fucked up over the weekend. He got tackled (slid into) by Birmingham's Martin Taylor (who?) and he is now out for the next nine months at least. That means Eddie won't be taking part in Euro 2008 and will not be able to help his team [possibly] claim various titles throughout the EPL. Arsene Wenger (Arsenal's manager) at first asked that Taylor be banned for life from football but he later retracted that statement as Eduardo himself stated he knew it was an accident. BTW, Eduardo just turned 25 yesterday. Happy fucking belated birthday!

I know this is wrong, and I really hope Eduardo makes a speedy and great recovery, but his absence could lead to ManU reclaiming top spot in the EPL table allowing us to win Champions League among other things. GO ManU!

The Number ONE Reason I Hate LSU...

I LOVE the SEC (Southeastern Conference). It has some of the best football you will ever see. Personally, I'm a Gator fan and usually I don't hate on other SEC teams because we go into bowl games and whoop ass but watch the video below to see another reason I am hating LSU even more this season. Not only did LSU cheat in TWO games this season to win (v. Florida & v. Alabama - I can give you the exact scenario of what happened if you want), but they are dickheads and classless. You let these kids eat nothing but pork fat all day, beef up to eight hundred pounds just so that you can have a great defense. I won't lie or hate on their defense because they were the best this year in the entire NCAA but I don't know if they teach these damn boys (or fans) anything but football. I think I might hit the next asshole I see supporting LSU. Watch this video with these dumb ass LSU fans. Please note that 95% of the athletes for LSU's major teams (mens & womens basketball, as well as football) are BLACK!

Tarnishing the Dream Team

To the left is a pic of the Patriot's coach Bill Belichick. His reputation as a coach is damn near destroyed after people started digging and found out that he's been [illegally] videotaping the defensive signals of other teams. If you didn't know, the Pats went 16-0 this year but lost in the Superbowl to the NY Giants. Earlier in the season Billy boy was fined half a million while the Pats organization was fined a quarter of a million because they were found guilty of spying. So, now that the season is over, they've made record books and all, why is it just now that NFL heads are talking about the fact that Bill has been taping since 2000?!? I hope the NFL decides to dig even deeper and uncover the truth.

Coming to America: Real Football

Real football does not consist of helmets and tights (although I will admit the tights got me to watch). The US is the only place that does not accept that soccer is the only real football out there but that is more than likely because we suck at it. I will frequently have posts about the greatest soccer league in the world, the English Premier League (EPL), and the fit, gorgeous men who take part.

It was just recently announced that the EPL may be coming to America starting in the 2010 season. Just thinking about watching Cristiano Ronaldo sweat live is making me want to do unmentionable things. The English don't want to share and hate the idea of the EPL coming stateside but I'll keep you posted.
